May 19th Saturday Dance – Open Band playing, J.P. Calling

Despite rumors to the contrary (our mistake, folks, sorry), The Pima County All-Stars will be playing for the May 26th contra dance.

This coming Saturday May 19th, after a dry spell of several weeks, we come together for a huge reunion dance, with the Open Band playing, and J.P. Thom-Gronachan calling.

Location: First United Methodist Church, between Park & Tyndall at 4th St.

Time: 7pm-10pm, with a warm up lesson at 6:30

Special Dance Location for Saturday 4/28

Once again we are dancing at a new location with a great floor, air conditioning, ceiling fans and plenty of space.

Saturday, April 28th 6:30 lesson / dance 7-10pm

**SPECIAL LOCATION: The Studio, 4648 Speedway, Tucson Arizona**
This is the south side of Speedway just west of Swan.

“Hands Four” will be playing & Kari Usher will be calling for the TFTM contra dance.
Ya’all come on down!! Enjoy the music & dance in a lively venue near Speedway & Swan.

There is parking in the front, but Magpie Pizza is still open so leave them a few spaces. The auto shop next door is closed and there is some parking in the alley. There is plenty of parking in the Sunflower Market parking lot across the street.

Upcoming Special Event This Week – Dinner and Dance Extravaganza

This Saturday April 21, 2012
Tucson Friends of Traditional Music (TFTM) announces the 2012 Contra Dance for Casa de los Niños.
As a special benefit event, TFTM will donate all proceeds from this dinner/dance to the prevention of child abuse. This Saturday, April 21, 2011, have dinner and a lesson, then dance the evening with other learning and experienced dancers on the magical dance floor of the Old Pueblo Square Dance center at 613 East Delano, Tucson, 85705. Make your reservation by calling Donna Fulton at 520-906-2011, $20.00 – inclusive for the Dinner and Dance, $12.00 if you will only be able to attend the lesson and dance. Last year’s benefit was a great success and everyone had a great time dancing in the OPSDA hall, with it’s multiple cooling system and numerous ceiling fans as well as the great music and callers.
