This week we have a great new band, The Out of Kilters with the calling of J. P. Thom-Gronachan!
The Out of Kilters are a Tucson-based traditional band. They play mostly Irish and Irish American ballads, and Celtic and American dance tunes such as jigs, reels, polkas, waltzes, and hornpipes. The band is composed of Jim Vinal, mandolin, banjos and vocals; Ruben Vinal, bass; Tom Field, guitar, tin whistles and vocals; Liz Healy bodhran, vocals and whooping; and Russ Healy, accordion, tin whistles, harmonica and vocals.
The band plays gigs at the Glass Onion Café, the Auld Dubliner , the Santa Cruz River Farmer’s Market (Thursdays 4:00-5:15), and this Saturday’s T.F.T.M. Contradance .
